I've been thinking about this over the weekend I am curious about this: Which shipping do you guys like more? Jaune and Ruby or Jaune and Pyrrha? For the sake of this debate, I will side with the Jaune and Pyrrha shipping because they have had more time together, they've grown more comfortable with each other at this point, and seem to like each others company. I will say that I do not, in any way, hate the Jaune and Ruby shipping. I actually think it's pretty cute and have read a few fanfics based on this shipping and have become more comfortable with it. I think that in the end Monty will probably ship Jaune and Pyrrha together but I'll still be cheering for Jaune and Ruby on the side line! Who knows, maybe there might be a future episode where it deals with a love triangle between Jaune, Ruby, and Pyrrha! I'll definitely enjoy that episode!Β

I think Rooster Teeth just killed off Pyrrha Nikos JUST to pair Ruby with Jaune.

The second Jaune and Ruby came on screen in the third episode, I was immediately SHIP IT!! Don't get me wrong Arkos was cute for what it was, but with the way Pyrrha always coddled and mentored him, I couldn't shake the feeling that if they did get together, it would feel as if Jaune started dating his extremely hot mom, *shudders*

With their roles reversed, perhaps?
(Jaune being a super rich heir engaged to marry Weiss, the heiress to the Schnee Steel Company, while Pyrrha is a poor English girl who is traveling with her mother to find new opportunities in America. Jaune thinks he loves Weiss and is content with marrying her until he meets Pyrrha, who he finds charming and brightens up his life more than Weiss ever could.)
And maaybe at the end when the Titanic is sinking, Pyrrha chooses to sacrifice her life so Jaune can live and find another girl he loves (that girl being Ruby, who he meets in the future and later marries). As for Weiss...she lives a depressed life in America and commits suicide after her father loses everything in the 1929 Wall Street Crash.

Jaune is the audience surrogate, the guy who acts like how a normal Earth person would act if he were dropped onto Remnant. Wish fulfillment is shipping him with any of the very attractive females in the world of RWBY.

Iβm thinking one of next seasonβs plans for Jaune is this; more than likely feeling guilty for leaving Pyrrha behind, Jaune finds comfort in Ruby. In time, the two start liking each other but Jaune canβt go through with loving Ruby because of his guilt/memories of Pyrrha, thinking heβs treating Ruby as essentially his rebound girl.

Regard for what? He didn't get a chance to respond, in the end he could've felt that Pyrrha was just a friend. Although, knowing Jaune he probably feel that way anyway.

well seeing as one of these ships was both confirmed and sunk in a matter of minutes I'd say the question has been answered.

is their a name for this as a three way relationship. i could see them being interpreted on the outside as friends who just really like each others company doing things like going on walks, watching movies, and discussing things from conversation to their interests. but when they are along they do very personal things like huddling together under a big blanket by a fire on a cold snowy day or make each other meals with little messages inside.

I'm all for Jaune and Pyrrha, if for no other reason then because of what teams they're on.
To elaborate:
Pyrrha threw away her weapon to save Jaune and actively went after Jaune as a partner, not caring about if Jaune was a good fighter or not.
Ruby considered Jaune as a possible partner for a moment but decided he was probably no good in a fight, without even having seen him fight.
