Dig Dug's FuneralOne of a Kind art sculpture, exhibited at I Am 8-Bit 2006. A hanging wall diorama about 18" tall, the figures are all 2-3". My idea was that you always see game characters die a million times, maybe someone should give one of them a funeral! Since Dig-Dug spends most of his time underground, he was the perfect subject, he's already halfway there! In attendance are Ms. Pac-Man, Q*Bert, Pooka, Galaga Bee, Defender Lander, Burgertime Hot Dog, and Ghosts N Goblins Zombie, with DK Mario as undertaker and Fygar as the minister. There is a centipede hiding somewhere in there too.

At first glance, I thought, "This is morbidly depressing", but then I saw the twisty grave and Taizo's body and I fricking lost it.

Well, all we know from this is that he died in the fourth round. In Dig Dug, white flowers sprout on the surface of the dirt whenever you complete a round. As you can see, the zombie is holding one, there's another one planted next to Taizo's grave, and Taizo himself is clutching a lilac in his little grave right there. Thus, we can conclude that Taizo lost the game in the fourth round.

How has that rock not fallen yet? Correct me if I am wrong, but don't rocks fall when Dig Dug mines under them? LoL
Also, huge missed opportunity to include Mr. Driller since it is a spinoff of the franchise.

Oh my. This one is completely sad and even so is a great deviation. Poor Dig, fortunately is having a good ceremony.
