Very inspiring stuff! Id like to try doing this same practice. Do you use any references or is it all from your visual memory?

i don't really pick subjects before painting for this exercise. It's more likely a pattern recognition training to recall subjects from my visual memory with random abstract shapes in a working composition.
The subjects appear and becomes more storytelling as i refine them.
