Some figure drawings. I went with the art director at Buena Vista Games to do some life drawing at a place called the Drawing Club, where new models pose every Thursday evening for artists to do figure drawing. Super fun.
I think the theme of this particular evening was "80's Go-Go Girl" or something like that. The poses were about 5-10 minute poses. My hand ached after this session, believe you me! O___OEach one done with Col-Erase pencils.

These are really fun! I like how the pencil colors match the particular theme.
So, tell me, because I feel like I need some clarification, do you think that life drawings need to be hyper-realistic? Because, of late, I figured I'd better knuckle down and do more life drawings, but the one thing that's always intimidated/overwhelmed me about it is that whenever I try to draw something exactly the way it looks, I can never get it to look exactly how it looks in real life. It somehow always ends up a little stylized in some way. I don't know, I just wanted an opinion on the subject.

wow.. 10 to 15 mins is great.. the 2mins sketches, oh man, it feels like your whole arm is numb.. especially when the tutor says to draw with your left arm if your right handed!!
