When she started out she was a blonde, but somehow, as time went by, she just looked more natural as a redhead. Now she is more or less a redhead with blonde highlights (maybe a strawberry blonde?). Her bio provides some additional details:

Whew! Thank you for your support on the Jack Davis notion. Paul Coker, Jr. had a wonderful linear style. Like Davis, his work was deceptively loose and free-wheeling, but try it out for yourself and you appreciate the level of precision that his work contains. Now—about those crumbs, or is that a different artist?

If you look at Paul Coker, Jr.'s work from the late 1960s and early '70s, every subject had dirt, debris, flower petals, dandruff, sweat droplets, some kind of detritus flaking off around it. if you Google 'paul coker jr cartoons ' and click Images, you'll see what I mean.
PCjr was instrumental in a lot of the prime-time, stop-motion cartoons you remember from the erea, too. Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph come to mind, but I think they should have changed the name of the company to Rankin-Bass-Coker.
He's still around, at 89, and still active.
