First Kiss

Do you remember that first kiss? I know you do. Tell me about it if you like. Mine was much like this drawing, a very long time ago...a very cold winter day, but in the moment we didnt feel any chill.
I was looking for something a little different, a little more emotional to draw. I was inspired by a gallery from named "love and friendship" and chose to try this. Please check out Anna's gallery and see if it moves you like it did me.
Polychromos colored pencil on Strathmore greyscale paper. The background was improvised somewhat. The snow was done with an electric eraser and generals white charcoal. Stock photo from the net.

This looks like Nate and Blair from Gossip Girl? : o I wonder if that was the image you found?
Anyway, this is gorgeous. Totally inspiring- I want to whip out my colored pencils. Do you blend with the pencils themselves, or use a blending stick, or something?
(Also one day I'll be able to have a first kiss experience...lmao...cries)

Haha I googled couple kissing and this is what i got. Shortly after i was informed it was the two from that show. (never saw it)
Thank you Tori..i must confess i just spent almost an hour checking out your big wonderful gallery. Very impressive. 
I try all different things. On this i found using an old t-shirt covering my finger and rubbing the pencil works pretty cool on blending. It tends to lift some color but pencils are cheap and the crazy texture of this particular paper made the results pretty pleasing. I think the friction of the fabric seems to heat the pencil and make it blend even better. Haha who would have known? But thats what art is all about right? Trial and error. I have LOADS of "errors"

Tangled is my favorite Disney movie, it's so special to me. But Frozen, ugh- love it so much. And Pixar is great, yes. ;_; Animated movies, man... Don't even get me started.

The woman in this drawing makes me think of the younger version of my current art teacher, which makes me happy, she just got married, I hope her relationship is as romantic as this!
I loved your description of your first kiss! On a cold winters day, oooOO. How romantic. I'm sure it's a lovely memory for you. I have never been kissed, but I'm not too bothered. I'm going to save it for somebody who is special. Was the person you first kissed special?

I often find myself just scrolling through her art for ages, its so inspiring and beautiful..your drawing is quite similar and just as beautiful

Aww yes, Anna opened my eyes somewhat to putting "love" into a drawing. I think we have all experienced what this couple feel..if not yet maybe "hopes" to feel.
