Description I kept thinking about the character Meta-Mutant and who he would lean on as another villain partner and I decided on Absolute Zero. both worked in the same place and have personal vendettas on Quantum, out to prove that they are better. Their team-up is only until Quantum is dead then who knows how fast they would turn on one another.

Absolute Zero has always been my favorite Quantum's villain. It just fits so perfectly to the scientific theme. Any material has a freezing point, which makes him a deadly enemy for a hero like Quantum. What exactly are his powers though? Can he only freeze or potentially also heat up any material (you know, anything also has a burning point ). Also, do his powers derive only from the gauntlets and his only super power is temperature resistance? Btw he seems to lack hands how did he lose them?

Yes! that was the point of the character ! So Zero was in the explosion that also caused Quantum but Absolute was blasted into a freezer where they kept the chemicals. As his body quickly decayed the fallout from the explosion repaired his cells almost as fast as the cold was freezing them. In the cold your extremities lose blood first so your core could stay warm so he loses his hands. Luckily though he built the gloves that allowed him and his partenr at the time (Quantum) to handle dangerous chemicals; freezing them or heating them. He hot-wires them to work as prosthetic and breaks out of the cooler, but the chemical reaction also left his entire body living yet frozen. His nerves are destroyed due to cold and he can survive extreme temperatures high or low.
