Scuttlebug is a Wormopedian. The species is from a harsh and underdeveloped planet called Buros V. The planet is very similar to prehistoric earth and the gaseous atmosphere makes it near inhospitable. To combat this Wormopedians live most of their lives underground until they have evolved past their larval stage to their crustacean forms where they are able to move freely about the planet. With this history in mind it makes sense that Scuttlebug is a go to alien against toxic foes. In order to quickly find and retrieve food and resources Wormopedians have developed a form of advanced echolocation being able to locate any item at near radius via a pulse shot through their forehead.Advantages:
Durable armor on back and head
Advanced Echolocation
Immune to toxins and poisons
Disadvantages:
Slow
weak underbelly
Designed after the Emerita Genus

Love this design/alien. Love that he isn't designed as a combatant alien. See him really being one of Ben's special situation aliens. Like Ripjaw being a fully aquatic alien, so being used away from water renders him a literal fish out of water.
Offensively/defensively could Scuttlebug roll like a pillbug/rollie pollie?
Also, I love that he doesn't just confirm to a basic humanoid form. The insectoid/ crustaceous build is great! Truly awesome!!

Yeah that's all of the things I was going for! I was tired of drawing buff hero-looking aliens and wanted something a little different. To keep him from being too similar to Cannonbolt he probably wouldn't roll

Yeah there's a lot of aliens in Ben's arsenal who aren't technically combat capable. The Worst is an alien who is purely defensive and GreyMatter is completely based on brain power. I figure this alien is a more defense based character.
