Emmett: "I burn energy when I use my powers, right?"
Nick: "But-"

Panel 2: Tony looking up at the sky in exasperation as he explains it to Nick, while Emmett takes another bite.
Tony: "Energy, Nick! Not just watts. Each lightning bolt has a certain amount of calories in them, same as the candy."

Panel 3: Nick looking ignorant and indignant.
Nick: "Hey! I know what calories are-They're for food, not... not..."

Tony: "Simple physics Nick. Calories are basically the amount of energy or work that is needed to perform the task needed given the specific circumstances that take place. For example, how much energy is used to digest the food."

Panel 5: Emmett charging his hand up with the wrapper in his open palm, empty.
Emmett: "Right. And since I metabolize energy, even from electricity, I can just turn the food's kilo-calories into a minor charge, such as this one..."
