Yesterday, completed and uploaded a birthday (Jan. 4th) sketch commission of two of my characters from my series Bloodstone Manor, Anthony "Tony" Braut and Evelyn "Eve" Anne Bloodstone, which is found here: jwiesner.deviantart.com/art/To… . I absolutely loved it and asked if I might color the piece and upload it, to which he said yes. After getting permission I spent about four hours on it and came up with the above piece.

The text in the background was from when I typed up the first few pages in novel form a few years back, but it didn't feel right as a novel series (rather than a graphic novel one) so I ceased. I figured it'd look better than the scripts in the background, and I like how it turned out with the text. The coloring itself I used some textures from my old "rainy day" stock creations, as well as the boards (from www.freefever.com/wallpaper/15…, and the skulls royalty-free licensed from Laschon Robert Paul (www.colourbox.com/vector/skull… . Ordinarily I look for free stock to use, but that one was something I could see myself using often enough to purchase. (So dA thinks anything from my usual site for shortening urls is automatically spam, by the way. What the hell?!)

I do have an artist who later this year will start work on Bloodstone Manor bringing it back online, but it is a few months off from work starting due to other projects to wrap up first. As of right now, I have 469 consecutive pages (and covers and splash pages) from start to the beginning of Volume 4 scripted completely, as well as a hundred of the total 2000 scripted elsewhere in the story. I may start uploading scripts again once the first few pages start rolling online. While I did color this commissioned sketch, my coloring talent, schedule and focus isn't as well suited to coloring the series itself, so we will be looking for assistance with coloring when we get closer to releasing pages online. Sorry for rambling off, but I'm really excited about this year. Hope everyone likes it, and if any critiques, please be constructive. XD

Edit: And maybe the bug is temporarily fixed, as I was able to update the description to what I wanted finally. Also, I noticed a few minor things that for some reason the file hadn't had fixed on them (guess I uploaded a process file before the finished one), so I reuploaded it. Would like to add in freckles on Eve as she'll have in the series, but not really gotten them to look right with any brush or texture I've found, may update later if I do get it to look right. XD
