so...try the same combination but with the new NIN's 'ghosts i-iv'...its something else

Nicely imagined and interestingly coloured. I like how textures and grungy feel set the mood for the whole piece. My favourite element of this piece are the white lines (texuture element). i really enjoy such an experiments.
On the other hand I like this kind of deviations to be a bit sharper, but its just mine twisted taste.

thank you fine sir! glad to hear from you especially a comment on this piece. i went a different direction from all the rest. its grainy because i wanted to have it placed on a canvas to put up in my house. i also like the white lines giving it an awkward feel but overall strength.

Wow.. this is really amazing. ^-^ The composition, the colors, the textures... very nicely done.
As for NIN and sleep.. I used to fall asleep to "The Downward Spiral" album. Trent's music always soothes me or pumps me up, whatever I need it to do. I love it.

Well yeah, I have been tired but good. I haven't uploaded anything because I am now studying in the art school of Italy and well I don't have as much time as I like (now I have to go shopping, cook, clean, etc since I am in an apartment --plus I don't have internet at home). Hopefully, I will upload some pictures of this small town because it is beautiful!

everything is going good here. just working like a slave and trying to find time to make art. i bought a travel trailer and i have been working on rebuilding some of it and cleaning it up. so thats taking some of my time, plus i have a puppy that demands alot of attention. its hard, but when i sit down to start working on art, i feel like that i shouldnt cause there is so much other stuff i have to do.

Well same here! I just do not have the time to do that one I had a thousand other things that I need to work on. Hopefully, I will be able to post some photos I take here from time to time. I am in a very beautiful, albeit small and old, town in Italy right now. It should give me some inspiration soon

lol thanks about the trailer, its actually a tent trailer. we plan on going camping alot when i get somewhat fixed. well hopefully we both dont forget good ol DA and get some time here in the future! keep in touch and take care

did you mean any specific NIN song? because i don't really understand the pictures meaning
in any ways it's really skillfully made
it's like.. the roots are holding the boy to the ground, he can't escape this world, this society. the roaches are like the creepy and parasitic effect this society has on people. then the bandages.. when we are not like out idols, we want to hide ourselves. this goes for the look and also the way of thinking. therefore are both, the boy and the "shadowish" version of him (in this work, the shadow guy is like hes brainwork to me) ashamed to not be as beautiful as they self expect themselves to be according to the high standards of magazine covers. his thinking is fading away caused by trying to be a good citizen, a good soldier (lol! NIN!

thank you thank you. what do you mean interesting break-ups? the color tones are always so hard to create, i wish i could make my own. i just am not sure how to create my own colors. maybe you could help me? if not its cool ill just suffer for the rest of my life

I mean the square shaps in the background. They sort of break up the image in sections, it brings interests to it as a whole.

my dad says i am lame because my pants are too tight, im EMO! LOL i get what you mean about the breaks now. i will try out the gradients on my next one. just havent really used them before. mainly i paint my colors or find textures that contain great coloring in themselves!

I do that as well. In most of my deviations I've used textures or images with interesting colors and variations.
