it doesn't look scary at all.mechanical fly.it was supposed to be a mixture of an apache helikopter and some insekt but most of all it should look scary...blender 2.62,cycles

It looks awesome but without visible weapons or a threatening color scheme it hard to find it scary.

If you want scary, its gotta have spikes and have a threatening color scheme.
Red or Red+Black are threatening colors.
Spikes, spines, stuff with sharp edges will make this look more scary.
Maybe looking at scary looking insects like Wasps (stinger), Praying Mantis(Scythe like arms) would help.
Looking at melee weapons like knives, scimitars, daggers, etc would help too.
If you play or have played Supreme commander, check out the Cybrid designs especially the fighter/bombers.
Keep this stuff because its cool looking.
Just make a copy and see how to make the copy more scary.

the funny thing is i have wasps working on entering my bathroom.no shittalk.i twittered about it,they have a nest outside under the roof and want in my flat.tinny space...500 wasps,that is scary.
i am fine with it.the wings could have been better but oh well.

Wasps are scary, they don't die like bees when they sting.
You may have to take them out and I don't mean to dinner or lunch.
Hire a pro for a minimum of pain.
Have heard non pro people who tried to take out wasps and things go south.
I wish you luck against the wasps.
