In previous episode you saw this big explosion: [link]This is the conclusion. It formed giant crater, so I decided to put giant candle in it.
(Well this is the same ice cylinder. Now you can see better what kind of object it was.)

The contrast of tones and the cold, but interestingly pleasant atmosphere is what I especially like about this photograph. Good choice for a featured deviation!

Thanks. Well I didn't have much time to compose while shooting and there wasn't much space either. I would have had camera too close to candle or I would have needed to break some ice.

At first, I didn't think that was a candle. It looked like gold liquid seeping onto ice.. and from the thumb, I thought it was a really big closeup of an eye.

My dog drinks water from plastic container. In winter water freezes. Then I take the ice out from plastic container and put candle inside ice to make sort of lantern.
I used flash to reveal those shapes in ice. I took we shots and then I chose this to edit in photoshop. I separately edited candle and ice with using masks.
