by ~waterrat I think judging is all about careful thinking. Not just quickly giving grade. I tried not to make it too long, because emotes are meant to be short.
This judge has only one paper. Number 10 is seen better that way.

Used this and a few others on a journal I am going to post tonite... You just did not have anything that was for Camel lips. I so need a "being kissed by Camel lips emote"

I like the character and personality you've given this emote, and the original seems to be lacking that (as you said, because he simply lifts up the 10). I think that it might be me nitpicking, but I find that the fact that he's writing on the back of the paper, then lifts up the front to show the ten is a little confusing. Dunno how you could fix that, or if I'm seeing the emote wrong, but it's just an observation I noticed.

Thank you. He doesn't write anything. He has only one plate with number 10. I first thought of making few plates, that he chooses different plate with different number with different facial expression, but then I thought it would be too long and complicated. Maybe most confusing part in this emote might be, that why he thinks so long, even he has only one plate. Then again making more plates just make canvas unnecessarily bigger.

That makes sense. I guess seeing his hand go back and forth like that made it seem like he was writing the 10 down, but I can see now that he's tapping on it thinking. I do not think that there is a need for more numbers because, as you said, it would make the scene far too complicated, and too large.
