The way I imagined it is that Demonica's new place is actually a retrofitted warehouse on the docks that was converted into a luxury condo.  She could have chosen to do a lot more with the space and fill it in, but she decided to keep part of it open as a "playroom."  The rest of her new home would be more along the lines of a luxury apartment with several bedrooms, and a sizable living space.

They're perhaps some of my favorite elements of this sequence.  Don't be surprised if they turn up again at a later date.
