Description
The MGS is the Mobile Gun System Variant; equipped with a retractable 45mm autocannon and extended range capacity. The MGS is much lighter than most variants because of a reduced crew of 2, thus the armor can be thinner and the overall weight can be reduced. Because of the hydro-pneumatic suspension and direct drive system from the electric motors, the Centurion is normally capable of 50mph road and 35mph offroad which is extended even more by the lighter MGS version to 65mph road and 45mph offroad. When compared to conventional drive systems, the MGS is far superior in range due partly to the small dual motors in the front drive wheel. Also the 2000 gallons of volume allotted from the space which is typically occupied by the engine is now available for batteries.
