Description Yes people, this is exist!

History lesson: Strider was an arcade game in 1989 by Capcom which was quite successful. The arcade version was ported to the Sega Genesis / Megadrive, and it even had a NES counterpart. The NES game was more of an adventure game, rather than just a hack'n slash like the original. What is weird, that the NES version only released in North America, and it never had an official japanese release, although the prototype was made, heck! There was even a commercial on TV: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9v8rG6… You might think, that I own the sample cartridge? Well... I though so when it was on Ebay, but it turned out, that this a fanmade cart pumped into a FC cart. Anyway... these things are quite rare to come by (if not impossible), so this was 2013's best bought for me, next to Metal Slader Glory!

Not sure if one can even call repros "rare" or such since you can just make more for cheap and it's just as legit

Nonetheless, a really nice looking repro

I dunno, since these repros are not common, secondly retro gaming in Japan is hardly exist, so what I have is I think a FC repro, or a pirate. At least it works on Famicom and Dendy as well.

Thanks.

Oh thanks! Well, I recently found another sample cartridge which WAS the prototype: www.famicomworld.com/forum/ind…

Recently I was able to dehack the game into its original language, but that is nothing too special, since it was made in Windhex32 and Tile Layer Pro.

Yup, this is the Capcom prototype sample, it is now holded by famicomcafe. Unfortuanelty he doesn't seem to want to dump the proto cart.
