the eureka building.i stumbled across a really interesting process in photoshop that turned a very very very boring photo into something really quite striking.

basically, i pulled out the red channel and desaturated it and then upped the contrast.

By pulled out the red channel you mean used channel mixer?

i suppose you could use channel mixer, but i opened up the channels box, selected the red channel and copy+pasted it into a new document, change the colour mode to rgb then drag it back onto the original picture. it was fairly complicated.
