My own vision of the final chapter of the story of Stepford, and the overspill of the Wives into the neighboring areas.It was really hard to get a determined look to them but still keep a docile expression on their faces. It was alot of fun to do tho' and not really care about logic.
I have to recommend the BOOK version of the Stepford Wives. The original movie is great to, although, due to the director casting his plump wife as a stepford wife, all the other actresses had to wear the same concealing wardrobes, so she wouldnt stand out, which kills the sexy factor of the film.
The new movie with Nicole Kidman, raped the concept and wasted the talent, BUT they did manage to present the Stepford Wives in the best context: Blonde, prim, and sexually dressed.
Alot of people say that the concept of Stepford is outdated, because women no longer need to fear men wanting to repress them into easily controlled, sexual objects, but I feel there still is that desire in the world, its just gotten very subversive and insidious.

I agree with all of your comments (although I'm yet to read the book but I'll try too seek it out sometime)
Also I liked your concept, as it would make a real kick ass action film (maybe they could win by killing every woman on the planet, but in the end kill off all the men and become the rulers? You just don't know what they are thinking after all....)
I also like your title as it has a nice ring to it.
Sometime ago I was going to write a fan fiction that, well was more or less the same as what you've come up with, however the best title I could think of was 'The High Heal' (among others like 'Killing them with Kindness' and 'The Pink Fist')

on that subject, I've always wanted to ask a gay man why oh why do gay men (fashion designers) try to make women into gay men? (Supermodels)
Most men, like myself like a plump woman because they feel better when you sleep next to them (tactile over visual)
BUT: to witness the last 40+years of fashion (post Marilyn) it seems the only attractive woman is a 12 year old boy...

I agree, there still isn't true equality between the sexes and The Stepford Wives reminds those who are open minded just how easily anyone can be repressed by someone who may or may not have authority over us. Like a guardian, officer, judge, teacher, boss, etc. This picture makes for an interesting discussion.
