Commissioned byThis picture reminds me a lot of pokemon mystery dungeon. Gives me a feel of nostalgia just looking at it...
I had a lot of fun with this idea; especially with figuring out how to draw the background. I have not had much practice in backgrounds yet, but I'm pretty satisfied with the method I used for this one.

Yes, it does have a mystery dungeon feel to it! Probably cause of the map. I especially like Charizard's tail; awesome job on the fire! I like how the fire light reflects perfectly as if it is real.
