So instead of doing inktober, i am doing some horror-based stuff based on the Harris Burdick method. What is that, you may ask? Simple:Β it involves creating a picture with a caption and a title that leaves the content of some story or circumstance entirely up to the viewer's imagination. Hi. I'm from . And I want to say that I really like what you did here.
Usually I see everyone painting with simple lines and gradients on the Inctober, but you've chosen more uncommon way with this kind of a hatching. It creates distorted and horrifying atmosphere all over the painting. The hatching itself is clear enough to understand the bounds and position of objects in space, but could be a bit better (you could try to create gradient of lines on the floor to make it look more realistic and attractive, the wall behind centipede man has a lack of integrity because of inproper hatching). Also, why didn't you make the boxes on the right smooth as table?
Besides a great job with the perspective of table and acceptable human anatomy of the creature, you did a great balance of the details: there's not so much empty space and the amount of objects to the left equals the amount of objects to the right. It is always pleasant to see each square centimetre of the painting being filled with something. Oh, also your piece contains some idea or plot behind. This feature always turns in a positive quality.
All in all, your piece do really catches an eye because of its contrast among the other *usual things* flowing endlessly on DA. I hope to see more stuff like this showing up in groups. Keep up with a good work!

Yes I DEFINITELY need to work on cross hatching!Β I originally worked with nib-tip fountain pen, but I've gone back to prismacolor since it allows me to have more control over what I do.Β I really appreciate your comment, and I really appreciate the feedback!Β Thank you so much!
