I often wonder if it is more a gift or a curse to see such beauty. To be simply in awe without words, to gaze without sense of time. To be truly lost in beauty, as though swept away by the waves the ocean. To return to reality like waking upon the shore after being lost at sea, dazed and bewildered, wondering how you came to be in this place and why you are so weak. That utter silence, you mind still, tamed by beauty for a little while at least. And then in that last moment before the return to normal waking life, wondering how such a little thing could seem to change you so much in that brief instant…? Something so pure…
