Description
This is my sugar glider Ansylem on his very first day out of the his mother's pouch. Normally I would never even dared to pick him up this early just because I'm so scared to break him and sometimes if your scent gets on the joey the mother may not recognize it and either abandon it or even sometimes cannibalize it. But one night when I had Katana and Luger (his parents) out, I heard little squeaks from inside their sleeping pouch. THE BABY IS FINALLY HERE. YAY. But it would be a few weeks till I could hold him. Mommy had a different idea. I saw Katana go into the pouch to comfort the baby or feed it. Then she came out a few minutes later with him on her tummy coming towards me! She then dropped him off near me. I was like wut... She left and went about her exploring business with Luger. I was so scared she just had abandoned him! but she came back shortly after to check on him. I picked him up real quick. Took a picture. Then put him back in the sleeping pouch so he didn't get cold and I held the pouch close to me and showed Katana what I was doing. I swear she was like, "Ah see? Now you're getting it! You are our new babysitter You have passed the test. Congratulations." She kept coming back to check on him and back sure he wasn't hungry but she seemed very content and forceful that I watched him XD

Facts about Ansylem
1. He is a standard grey glider (type of markings and coloring he has)
2. He was born with a deformation of his left foot that looks very much like a chameleon foot. But it doesn't stop him from doing everything a normal glider can!
3. He is very accident prone. I have almost lost this guy a million times already. Toilet, cat, couch, getting stuck....etc. you name it, he's probably conquered it. He's my little trooper.
4. He will be 2 years old in April.
