Oh this moment was MADE for me! I got around to watching "Forgotten Friendship" yesterday night and, oh boy, I went nuts over this scene! At first, they show you Sunset lying on her bed in her PJs with her slippers on as she thumbs through an old yearbook. My initial reaction was, "take those slippers off!" But only a few moments later, she actually DOES kick her slippers off! I lost my mind! I didn't think they would actually show it, but they did and I'm just beyond words; this is by far the best foot scene in Equestria Girls next to Twilight's "Legend of Everfree" nightmare/dream sequence. Sunset is soooooo cute!

But in regards to the "Forgotten Friendship" special as a whole, Wallflower Blush is such a relatable cutie! Oh God, I know that feeling of being overlooked and unrecognized, that feeling of knowing a lot about everyone around you but nobody around you realizes you even exist. It was a fairly corny, but very tender and heart-warming how an Equestria Girls special can be done in the way that only THOSE writers could pull off; not perfect, but it's done right. I feel like the MLP writers have nailed being able to write simple stories about "the villains" being small misunderstandings taken too far but also resolving conflicts before things escalate into a worse situation. They even nail how to show how a protagonist's actions can fuel the intentions of "the villain" if the protagonist makes hasty and poorly-thought decisions.

I feel like there's an elusive subculture of young kids and teens who are ostracized wallflowers, festering in hate and anger for those that put them off to the side. A lot of these youths have/had a lot of love for the world that failed to be properly expressed, resulting in lost hope, depression, angst, confusion, frustration, and eventually hate. For those of you still in grade school, please do me a solid and find that poor, misunderstood soul and befriend him/her; be gentle, but firm, and know to never give up on a person. The "wallflower types" really appreciate someone strong enough to digest all their quips and quirks. Give them honest criticism, but never be blunt; people can be weird, but flat-out telling someone that their way of thinking is wrong will come off as insulting. It takes time and patience to understand one-another. That loner kid you always see in school sitting by themselves may be into weird things, but a lot of people never get far enough to understand the "why" part --and knowing the "why" plays a major role in knowing the "who." Rather than just saying "he/she is a weirdo" and calling it a day, say "he/she is like that because... X." Please save them.

God, I've gone on too long. Seriously, save the wallflowers. It'll make the world a better place. If Wallflower Blush were real, I'd give her a hug :3

Also, I LOVE her shoes! They're like loose slip-on Vans and I don't see enough girls wearing them in my locale.

Side note: I will eventually get around to updating this GIF in the future whenever a better source video for the "Forgotten Friendship" special is uploaded somewhere; the one I used for the GIF was a 1080p TV rip, so some of the frames are a little jagged. Also I would prefer the GIF WITHOUT the Discovery Family watermark in the bottom-right corner. Hope you enjoyed this!

UPDATE: NO WATERMARKS! YAY! Sadly, this came from a YouTube rip, but it's still MILES better than the HDTV ripped version. Hopefully it'll be released from some BluRay disk set or on iTunes; I have more confidence in a more raw source, ya know?

UPDATE (4/2/2019): So, I've made the "discovery" of a lifetime regarding the GIF-making app I use called "Instagiffer" that pretty much changed how I'm going to make my GIFs from now on. On the app, there's a little button that opens a window to add effects like color filters and stuff like that. This whole time, there was an "Enhance" effect that has been automatically checked every time I loaded a video into the application that I wasn't aware of. As good as the word "enhance" sounds, it alters the colors of each frame to emphasize what it thinks are stuff like outlines and edges... but it significantly increased the final product's file size. So for certain scenes (like Sunset Shimmer's slippers here), turning the "Enhance" filter OFF allowed me to nearly TRIPLE the number of frames the original GIF I posted had! There are a LOT of GIFs that I had to make cutbacks on for the frames to make sure their file size didn't exceed 80 MBs. But now, I can go back and fix a bunch of GIFs I've already posted here and make them longer--to add more possible context to their scenes.
