Bio: Gulliver is a Sodor-built engine built for use on the Mid-Sodor Railway in 1915. When the Mid-Sodor Railway closed, he was purchased by the same railway in Brittan that Silver lived on. When that railway closed in 1991, he was partly dismantled to mend Silver Tramp before he was sold, and then Gulliver was placed in a shed for several years until 2017 when he was bought by the SKR to turn the currently closed Skarloey Slate Mine into a working attraction.

Personality: Gulliver is an assertive tank engine, and is very capable of proving that he can tackle any job given to him. He takes any teasing in the name of fun and is happy to get on with his job, usually partaking in goods work. Gulliver never hesitates to assist in emergencies or sticky situations, road or rail, due to his helpful, forgiving nature. His unique wheels are particularly invaluable in harsh winter conditions when snow can affect transport across the Island. He may be slightly slow, but he is versatile, adaptable and helpful. He can usually be found transporting heavy goods or cheerily taking slate trains. Sometimes, though, he can get a little overconfident and forget to listen to his own advice: "You have to be sensible if you want to stay safe!"
