Description

Done as a means of some networking (part of a zoomed-in banner), I thought I would have a go at one of England's national treasures (pre-mid-90s at least), of which had some influence on my work years ago. That being said, would it be right heresy to admit I've been listening to a bit of J-rock \ Anime metal while working on this? Probably not when Manga Entertainment's finest was advertised in these Progs back in the day.

So yeah, Credo, Kiss my axe, Be Pure Be Vigilant Behave, I am the Law, Spread the word or just plain bog off. Enjoy.

UPDATE! 19/03/2020: I was recently contacted by the gentleman who runs the 2000ad Club on Facebook, wondering if I was interested in letting him use this image (with credits) in the official banner plus a stage by stage process on how I pulled this fellow off and foreword on my experience and respect for the magazine I thought sure, a bit of networking is as good as any!

So here it is! If you're a 2000AD fan be it past or present, give these guys a like, support, subscribe and spread the word!

Here's the post with my two pence on the Galaxy's Greatest Comic.

Characters by Fleetway \ Rebellion, John Wagner, Pat Mills, the late Carlos Ezquerra, Kevin O Neill, Mick Mcmahon, plus more off the top of my head. Art by me. Pencilled and Inked traditionally and coloured in Clipstudio. Done on one last bit of a5 120gsm paper, it'll be the last I work in such a manner for the foreseeable future having adapted well for digital inking. In further critique, space was deliberately left vacant for a possible title and Grobbendonk's unseen platform at the bottom left might throw a few people off. Other than that, live a little!
