Description
By request of a certain Cyclopean individual a year or two back, I thought i'd try my luck interpreting several anime titles from my fanboy days, the first to be Cherry picked is this fiery little lass. As ever, it's not without a twist of my own, and here I'd say Dragon Half has gone from My Omelette by Kotono Mitsuishi to a cover of Carnage by Behemoth. Heavy stuff for sure, but still one of my favourites, the Manga in particular. It took a little longer than I anticipated this one. The original Ink drawing was done in an A6 sketchbook, so it's quite small to look at in the flesh. For the digital colour version I'd figured i'd walk an extra couple of miles for more sustenance when providing a background. Mind you, I had travelled quite a journey as the background images of bones and architecture was from my 400 odd photos i took at the ROM museum in Toronto Canada. Had a real blast there along with the 2 week vacation before and after.
Mink and Dragon Half created by Ryusuke Mita. Art by me. Done in Inks and Photoshop. Taught myself a few tricks here, including those planets in the background. I was tempted to give one of them rings but figured this picture was jam packed as it is for now.

Sometimes it's the smallest drawings that turn out fantastic! Well done!

It's fun to work around the limits and constrictions sometimes.

Nice. Digging the little details in this, and quite the striking costume really.

Well, the credit for costume design goes to Ryusuke Mita really, though i did improvise on the details a bit. My ideas used were the skull kneecaps and the Axe (which i chose to make the weapon stand out above the massive Hairdo). But i did have fun trying Mink out as a Non-manga chick without huge thighs.
Cheers, man.

Mine went walkies years ago, so i might have to grab it again on Amazon. It was a short, sweet and enjoyable anime intended to promote the manga, and i dare say the English dub held its own against the Japanese one.
More to come, including a possible stab at a certain girl A, B and C
