3rd in the series of "Brutal Pokemon" I have the 3rd in the ghostly trio from the original generation. Like the previous two, this was originally based on a sketch card which i still have. I've seen takes on these guys throughout here and there and wanted to think up of ways to portray a realistic or believable design that's still reminiscent of the original cartoony look. I opted for the idea, as you can see here, of deadened and white human flesh strapped onto the head body of the pokemon to represent the big cartoony eyes, with a living skull and tongue protruding where the mouth should be. Keeping true to the macabre mood, i decided to have them congregate around the recently deceased. It was basically an excuse to have a drawn background compared to the last one where i can have a workout in drawing perspective.

Gastly and Pokemon by Nintendo. Art by me. Done so far in pencils, Tombo pens and Neocolour wax crayons. This is a work in progress. I intend to add colour to this later. However, I have to shelf this particular project for now as i need to crack on with lettering and book formatting duties for my upcoming title, which I'd like to get done by May and don't want to take any chances. If this isn't coloured by late May by all means give me a kick up the bum. Critique is welcome in the meantime.

Changes to be expected on this include the piece being darker, with more definition and mood on the lighting, and perhaps tweaks to the perspective on the cadavers. Oh and gas on the Gastlies of course.
