Description "Everyone is here".

That is the tagline for Super Smash Brothers Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch.

Thanks to the wonders of a PhotoShop alternative called "Gimp" and thousands of mugshots from a free Smash Bros. roster maker, I present to you all my prediction for SSBU's final roster.

Who do you honestly think will make it?

Comment below. Oh and the very bottom row of fighters would be DLC if Nintendo decides to go that route again.

And here's the list of all the newcomers I added:

They start after Ridley

*= Echo fighter

King K.Rool (Debut: Donkey Kong Country, SNES, 1994)
Geno (Debut: Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars, SNES, 1996)
Bandana Dee (Debut: Kirby Super Star, SNES, 1996)
Dark Samus* (Debut: Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, GameCube, 2004)
Spring Man (Debut: ARMS, Switch, 2017)
Banjo & Kazooie (Debut: Banjo Kazooie, N64, 1998)
Rayman (Debut: Rayman, PlayStation 1, 1995)
Shadow* (Debut: Sonic Adventure 2, Dreamcast, 2001)

That's it for the newcomers that would be in the game minus DLC. So now here's the DLC fighter list:

Slippy (Debut: Star Fox, SNES, 1993)
Black Mage (Debut, Final Fantasy, 1987)
Sylux (Debut: Metroid Prime Hunters, DS, 2006)
Ashley (Debut, WarioWare Touched, DS, 2005)
Lanky Kong (Debut: Donkey Kong 64, N64, 1999)
Phosphora (Debut: Kid Icarus Uprising, 3DS, 2012)
Ribbon Girl (Debut: ARMS, Switch, 2017)
Decidueye (Debut, Pokemon Sun & Moon, 3DS, 2016)
Ayumi Tachibana (Debut: Famicom Detective Club Part II, Famicom, 1989)
Strider Hiryu (Debut: Strider, Arcade, 1989)
Talim (Debut: Soulcalibur II, Arcade, 2002)
Nightmare (Debut: Soul Edge, Arcade 1995)

Simon Belmont isn't even on this roster that I made. But K.Rool is

Great choices for the most part, but this feels more like a wishlist than a prediction list. 23 newcomers when Sakurai said to not expect too many? Especially since Smash 4 only had 15, +4 from DLC. I'd love most of these additions but it feels like too much to be realistic.

Slippy has no chance whatsoever, but K. Rool and Geno would be awesome.

MrYoshi1996 In reply to BrainyxBat [2018-07-23 01:04:35 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. If I could, I would have added so many more characters. But I had to keep it at a minimum of 70-80

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

BrainyxBat In reply to MrYoshi1996 [2018-07-23 01:21:13 +0000 UTC]

That's a good idea. ^^ I mean, I think there can only be so many characters in one video game.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MrYoshi1996 In reply to BrainyxBat [2018-07-23 01:24:12 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. Plus the creator of the Smash Bros series said not to expect too many new fighters since every character that's been playable since the very first game on the Nintendo 64

BrainyxBat In reply to MrYoshi1996 [2018-07-23 01:45:10 +0000 UTC]

MrYoshi1996 In reply to BrainyxBat [2018-07-23 02:05:38 +0000 UTC]

Yep. The starting roster of Super Smash Bros Ultimate will actually be the original 12 fighters from the first game

BrainyxBat In reply to MrYoshi1996 [2018-07-23 02:16:49 +0000 UTC]

Oh, cool. ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MrYoshi1996 In reply to BrainyxBat [2018-07-23 02:27:11 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. But it does mean that only one of my Smash mains will be there out of the gate. That being Fox McCloud from the Star Fox series. So it's a good and bad thing

BrainyxBat In reply to MrYoshi1996 [2018-07-23 02:48:20 +0000 UTC]

Ah. :/ Well, they can't have everyone, I suppose.

MrYoshi1996 In reply to BrainyxBat [2018-07-23 03:29:01 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. The original 12 fighters make up the very first row of characters at the top. Just thought I would mention that

Ah, 'kay.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MrYoshi1996 In reply to BrainyxBat [2018-07-23 03:38:39 +0000 UTC]

Here's the list of fighters that make up the original 12:

Mario (Debut: Donkey Kong, 1981)
Donkey Kong (Debut: Donkey Kong, Arcade, 1981)
Link (Debut: The Legend of Zelda, NES, 1986)
Samus (Debut: Metriod, NES, 1986)
Yoshi (Debut, Super Mario World, SNES, 1990)
Kirby (Debut: Kirby's Dreamland, Game Boy, 1992)
Fox (Debut: Star Fox, SNES, 1993)
Pikachu (Debut: Pokemon Red & Green, 1996)
Luigi (Debut: Mario Bros., Arcade, 1983)
Captain Falcon (Debut: F-Zero, SNES, 1990)
Ness (Debut: Earthbound, SNES, 1994)
Jigglypuff (Debut: Pokemon Red & Green, Game Boy, 1996)

I know you already knew some of them. But I thought I would list them off just for fun. Oh and I used the Japanese release dates when it comes to the years. So while the Super Nintendo came out in 1991 in America, it debuted on year earlier in Japan. So that means games like Super Mario World, F-Zero and Earthbound launched a year early in the land of the rising sun before arriving in the US

MrYoshi1996 In reply to BrainyxBat [2018-07-23 13:19:53 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. Plus it literally took Pokemon 2 years to come out America and when it did, it practically took over the entire world

My personal favorite out of Ash's female companions is May. I'd have to say Dawn is a close second, with Misty as third. Iris, Serena, and Lillie are undecided.

Misty will always be my favorite. But May is a very close second
