Description
It's essentialy the same universe as our Cold War but with more changes as things did improve a lot compared to how they were a few months ago when i made that post. While the Alternate Universe's plot focuses on North Japan, i figured showing off the rest of the world would be great as well. Enjoy!

Some note worthy changes:
-World War II is more brutal and lasts a bit longer (1939- mid 1946) -The Axis nations that in OTL switched sides (Romania and Bulgaria) stay with the Axis till the end which makes the conditions imposed on them harsher (Bukovina and Northern Transylvania are directly incorporated into the Soviet Union as a multi ethnic Carpahtian Soviet Socialist Republic with an ASSR in Szekelyland
-The Moldavian SSR doesn't lose Budjak (kind of irrelevant but its a detail after all)
-the biggest difference is that Morgenthau Plan was put into action and that the West Germany of this timeline is the South German Republic which was composed out of Western Austria (the soviet occupation zone in the east was turned into a puppet state) and Bavaria. It created a slightly different identity for itself based on the Holy Roman Empire.
-France annexes and depopulates most of rhineland.
-Greek communists win the Civil War with Soviet support and become part of the Warsaw Treaty Organization.
-the Warsaw Treaty isn't limited to just europe in this timeline and Mongolia and North Japan are also part of it, and Cuba is just an observing member.
-In Albania, Enver Hoxha is removed from power somewhere in the late 60's after wanting to withdraw trom the organization and replaced with a more moderate, Moscow-backed leader.
There's more going on in this world but i'm currently working on a full sized world map showing all the countries and borders and explaining what went wrong in this timeline.
