Bow down before the all mighty ZIII~IM!Fear his cuddly wrath!
He has the body of my normal pattern but i made 4 different versions of his head before I ended up just using the very first version i created
(except a little smaller to fit the body)Yes, his fist is meant to be curled for his all time favorite invader stance. Haha I didn't end up putting his pack on (not because I forgot), because I was going to paint the invader symbol on his back... er i did however forget that part and just painted the bands instead. heh fail!
Yeah and painting on felt is much harder than painting on calico/cotton/muslin O_o It turned out all strange and rough/lumpy. Oh well.

*GASP*! You made a Zim! An awesome Zim! I've never seen a Zim plushie before, let alone a good one!! That's so super amazing!!
Oh, and I just started working with fleece, so I think I know what you mean about paint not going on as smoothly as it does with cottony fabrics. Regardly, it all looks really great!
Oh, wait. One question. It's about the background, actually. Do you use a green-screen or something when you photograph your plushies? How do you get the photographed background out?

yaaaay ZIM! hahah glad you like it! I love zim and i was freaking out that i wouldn't be able to capture his insane character... glad you think he looks good!
Bah yeah Fleece is a little more difficult then i thought it would be, but it's nice and soft!
Oh the background... well it's actually a trick my photo friend taught me.
Get a large piece of white paper (much larger then the plush)
blue tac one end on to the wall, and have about a third of it curved on the ground kind of like the curve of a ski jump. Put your plush on the ground on the white paper.
This way the light reflects nicely and it doesn't have that many shadows or that horizon line behind it which can be hard to photoshop out. Then enough light so it's not too dark (i try and use natural light so it doesn't cast a yellow light)
...sounds really complicated, but it's just settign the piece of paper up and it saves so much hassle with photoshopping later ^_^

yep sure is... the first few times you have to re-adjust the paper to get the right slope, but eventually you get the knack of it! and it makes for really nice pictures!
(i just had trouble finding a big enough piece of paper)
