Description A little tribute to Taffyta drinking a bubble tea, done as exercise with traditional art (which I need to improve a lot!)

I miss the other racers. The second movie did them dirty.

.....Can I say you're like the 20th person I've been around that's said that? XD

Lol xD this is reassuring! And you know what also is? The fact that Rich Moore left Disney just after that movie. I've seen some of his original storyboards for the sequel, and it looked way different from the final product. It seems like he was forced to change it and the characters, his characters, for some reasons we will never know. And if Moore himself was not happy with that movie, as I honestly think, I can't consider it canon.

I've seen some of those tossed boards as well and want to see more, considering one of the 'lost' boards was Calhoun teaching Taffyta how to shoot in Hero's Duty which shows there was some interest in doing a side-story with the people on the arcade side. And as far as Rich's involvement, let's just say that the word going around is that the new writer wrote her divorce into the story which is why Ralph and Vanellope's relationship is far removed from a father/daughter, brother/sister type of deal and comes off as a needy male partner and his thoughtless spouse. It's creepy and something that doesn't need to be attached to what is essentially an adult and a kid but HOO-HOO, there we go!

And darn you. Darn you for making me curious to know more!

You know what? I think Disney's forcefully trying to focus its last movies on feminism, but the problem is that it's a grotesque and ridicolous version of feminism, and worst of all, Disney doesn't really care about it because its real and only purpose is money.

Ralph breaks the internet and Toy story 4 have the same problems: very altered characters, forced "girl powah stuff" and friends who get separated because of the queen of the situation.

I haven't seen Frozen 2 yet, but I BET it will have these same elements as well.

Probably Zootopia 2 too.

This is Disney and Pixar's current trend.

But honestly, fuck those movies. Fuck RBTI.

It doesn't deserve our attention and our time. Because all these movies are a big parody, a circus.

That's why I'll continue ignoring them and drawing my fanarts as they never happened.

If a movie can't be taken seriously, it just can't.

That's exactly what it was and it really shows badly but here's the funny thing about that;

When you watch it, notice how they treat certain characters 'in the name of feminism' and not just the male characters. Notice how ONE VERY IMPORANT female character was left out.

CALHOUN.

Now, you would think that out of so many characters in the WiR series, Calhoun would be their poster child for 'flipping expectations' (something else I'm tired of hearing because it no longer means anything) but notice how she was more or less tossed to the side for talking point characters rather than ones who actually did anything. That's because the new writer didn't want to utilize a character who didn't fully reflect HER POV but instead of doing something creative she ignored her and instead brought in a lot of boring, soap box characters, ones that didn't really add anything.

Shank is more or less a Dollar Store Calhoun but without any of the fun or parody that makes Calhoun so likable. She only serves to be ambiguously POC (and this is coming from a Black woman!) 'tough girl' from a generic racing game with a boring design that just repeats what Vanellope wants to hear instead of what she NEEDS to hear and that's what a lot of these poor stories are based on; they're not written to tell stories but just to repeat what the writer WISHES they could hear to validate themselves.

Watch both movies back to back and you can see how the 'messages' are given. Ralph in the first movie is shown what he needed to hear to understand what does and doesn't matter. But in the second, Vanellope is showered and told everything she wants to hear to satisfy herself and doesn't go through the same character arc that Ralph does, despite her more or less going through the same points, right down to messing up a game for her own selfish reasons but rather than being made to face that or take a lick of responsibility, she is given everything she wants while the people she messed up has to suffer for it, despite not even deserving it.

This is a trend with a lot of BAD (I want to emphasize on this because there are GOOD) girl power stories now; the characters aren't allowed to have any sort of arc but instead are just given what they want and everyone else has to put up with them being dicks. The interesting thing about this however is that those characters that have to put up them wind up becoming much more relatable and likable than the main character we're SUPPOSED to cheer on.

This is why after everything that happened, I no longer give a shit about 2nd movie Ralph and Vanellope and the online fucks but everyone ELSE they screwed over. I'd rather know what they're doing and how they put up with it than knowing about some brat and her gorilla messing shit up.

Suffice to say, you should never look back at the first movie and go 'Wow, everyone was right about Ralph and Vanellope. They ARE fuck ups.' but that's exactly what happened.

oh! Here in Milano there are so many bar that sell them! Btw I love macarons more than bubble tea and unfortunately here they're too expensive, I bet people in France have more choice with them, you lucky!

Macarons are delicious, I love It too 😍. Yeah here most of bakeries are selling it for 0,85€ a piece. That’s not so much expensive.
The best ones are in Paris, LadurΓ©e and Pierre HermΓ©, but they’re so expensive.
In my town there’s a store specialized in macarons, they’re a bit expensive but they’ve a lot of original flavor as Raspberry/Champagne, Coconut... and they’re delicious πŸ˜‹.
