Back then in Underfell the actual timeline that is Underfell itself, Asgore wasn't so cruel towards sans, but he was ( mocked? ) by his friend W.D, and well, fell!sans was an very nervous ( sometimes even anxious ) guy at his job, but always came up with a joke. (( I won't talk about alphys because her expression already tells how she is back then, lol ))

Now the Underfell timeline that is actually Revertfell, asgore complained a lot about any "wrong" thing sans ended up doing accidentally, he began to have a lack of self-confidence, and insecurity, to the point of isolating himself from his friends ( alphys, W.D ), Alphys sometimes asks if he's really okay with his job. but he says he needs that job, with a terrible expression.
