More memories, this time in black and white. Before we drove down into Wallis from the Simplon Pass, we had this majestic view of Monte Leone.The Leone Group is a mountain range in the eastern part of the Western Alps; it lies on the border between the Swiss cantons of Wallis and Tessin and the Italian province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Piedmont region. Its highest mountain is Monte Leone, over whose summit the national border runs.
