Unfortunately, you can't have one or the other in the USA.

You need great wealth just to be in the running. Idealistic dreams about what should be don't go well against REALITY.

Hillary Clinton spent 1.2 billion US dollars on her election campaign. The most expensive ever.

Trump spent only a fraction of that, he didn't win because he spent loads of money in comparison, he won mostly because what he was saying fitted more with what many voters in the critical states wanted. His election campaign was one of the cheapest in decades.

A foreshadowing of cronyism.  Which has been a problem since long before Trump.  And which I fear will get worse before it can get better, as I don't believe Trump will take a magic wand to erase all the corruption any more than Bush failed to wave said wand.  Hillary, on the other hand, was practically born and raised in it.  Pretending to care - only for vote pimping - about the very dredges of society she was actually helping make poorer, as she demonstrated with her actions in Haiti. 

Trump didn't win because he's a great man.  Hillary lost because she is objectively that much worse.  I voted for Darrel Castle.  So that no one may call me a sellout.
