This isn't bad ;D the ear turned out really well. I think, you could smooth out the smooth with the blur tool, the moon will look nicer. If you are attempting to make a "glow" behind the moon make the "lightness" behind it on another layer and make the opacity around 50% or use a brush tool on the background and do 10%-ish. The fur on the ear and the brown fur is nicely done, but I still think you could improve on the grey hair. Maybe shorter strokes? I have yet to attempt fur so I am not really sure but this is better than I can do.

ya, i tried to fix the moon but it wouldnt turn out good, i even looked at tutorials =/ and the grey fur was the hardest to fix, i'll have to try shorter though. thanks for the tips

ya, its saved as 2 different types of files, one is the gimp file which you cant use on anything but gimp and it has all the layers, and one is jpeg which you can only see one layer that has all the layers combined. i used over 20 layers to make this drawing, then saved it as jpeg.

Yeah, what I did for moon ended up being like 3 layers, one moon, and two sky (since I was doing a cloudy sky moon background), actually because of how white it is, I usually end up doing like 2% opacity with the brush unless I am doing something very white.

I c. . . i used to draw clouds w/ different opacities and then blur it, but since i got gimp i just use cloud brushes w/ diff. opacities and sizes and such

Oh I dislike using cloud shaped brushes :< I used 'em once to make a pretty deviation and since then, never again. I kind of find it more enjoyable and a challenge when I do it myself.

hmmm. . . . i only used it once and it was pretty good, although you couldnt see them much. but i think it would be better doing it myself.
