Planning for my next trip has gone well, but I'm still waiting for one of the Government Agencies to grant me permission to use Crown Land.
I applied for permits to use and camp on some of the Travelling Stock Routes and Stock Reserves that are the foundation of the Bicentennial National Trail and I'm still waiting to be granted permits from the Department of Livestock Health and Pest Authority. I applied for the permits weeks ago. I applied for 14 regional permits, this has caused a major delay.
Because there will be hundreds of kilometres of montane rainforest travel, I need to get the permits right now otherwise I won't beat the Spring rains and travelling will be impossible in the mud, with no chance of being able to cross the more difficult rivers.
Other wise everything else is good. My new bike is ready to go and well tuned ... [IMG][link] [/IMG]
