I'm not the best at editing either. I search for PS tutorials online. If I find one I like, I just grab a photo and strart playing.

Ang!! this is totally awesome! the point of view is fantastic, gives the impression, (to me anyway) of an Escher painting.. if it wasn't for the people, you could be looking up or down (that thing in centre kinda looks like a lightbulb. )
seriously, hun.. simply it.

I'll say it again. I love spirals. This is superb. Don't get the big fuss over titles though. A good title doesn't make the image. Some titles I find on dA are totally pretentious. Some of mine too probably!

I like the title now that I see it there.. I am so uncreative with them, that I typically use song titles LOL I am glad you like the edit Bryan

Yep It suits the image. I just had a look at mine and most are "documentary" titles stating the obvious! I find it a bit embarrassing if I get to arty with titles. Don't even mention poetry in the text...

But you are such an eloquent writer, I would think things like titles and descriptions come easily to you?

Ooo Ang stop it! A comment is great for writing what you see and with titles it's actually fun sometimes but I sometimes cringe at myself such as. That's not to say I don't take it seriously of course because I do. Many on dA are surrounded by art, phorography and like minded people. I'm not unless I'm at home so it makes the process more difficult without doubt. There's not much art and art talk in Petrochem!
Regarding the poetic attachments, I'm posting a shot I've got at home in a couple of weeks and it will be accompanied with a poem by the worst poet in the world, William Topaz McGonagall [link] If anyone here finds similarity in style with their own work then just STOP. NOW!
I have seen some on dA...(not by anyone I watch!!)

You would benefit from better titles, Ang.

ha ha how's this "The Ghosts of the Vatican?"
👍: 0 ⏩: 2
TTL-Photoworks In reply to mstargazer [2009-07-16 04:11:36 +0000 UTC]
I'd go with "Ghosts In The Vatican" or "Ghosts 'round The Vatican" or "Ghosts in the Hole" or something. You know what this reminds me of now that I think about it. Something in Harry Potter. You know with the ghosts running around Hogwarts? "Ghosts on Level 3"?
The reason i say you need better titles is that yours are like travelogue titles or something you'd see in National Geographic. This is ok if that's what you want, but if you're doing Art, then something more imaginative and with it's own imagery seems better. Just my opinion, though.

I know about it. They also have one every month to get published in their magazine.
I get discouraged too easily. I never even went back to Shutterstock after they turned me down the first time.
