are you using softboxes? reflectors? because everything is so evenly lit?

I use one medium softbox, on a super boom overhead as main light and add reflectors or scrims as needed. I go mostly for an angle as i would if eating the dish.
The food is whats important so dont try to put your stamp on it just record what the chef has put in front of you.

Stunning photo. It reminds me of the sort of shell that spirals out, or an optical illusion type image. I love the places where people moved so theres just a blur of color.
