little bit of back story I never knew.

She was once a scientist from Earth called Evelyn Powers, who was on board Marlena Glenn's space craft before it crash-landed on Eternia. Marlena Glenn as we know would one day become Queen of Eternia and mother of Prince Adam (He-man) and Princess Adora (She-Ra). (Talk about a potential bitter rivalry that could be built here.)

in the new 2002 cartoon series she's given a totally new past...Daughter to a mysterious sorcerer known only as The Faceless One, who lives in isolation amongst the ruins of Zalesia and is the guardian of a precious object called the Ram Stone. (God if ever there was possibility of a sexual device in He-man this could be it....the Double ended Ram Stone....hmmmmmm.)

I know she's not the Evil-Lyn we knew from the cartoon but come on most of that head gear was for ease of the cartoonist to make her. This crown with her white hair to flow freely is more in line of what I think would be slightly more realistic.

and of course the breast ring that Teela wore was repeated for Evil-lyn for nostalgia effect. (v4 horn)
