Finished October 29, 2018I had recently seen the 1958 version of the Blob and liked the idea of the Downingtown Diner playing out on one of the 4x12" canvases I had, so I thought up this scene that combines elements of the 1958 version (the diner enveloped by the blob, brave Danny Martin unloading his cap gun into the Blob while in footie pajamas with Steve Andrews and Jane Martin rushing to his aid), and 1988 version (blob tentacle attacks, phone booth, sewer, bodies visibly melting).
