Description For the Centriiost Project.

My OC to accompany the previous loordress and her daughter.
I have half a mind to name him Gaar ka Ze'rith
The daughter shall be Neridaa ki Gaar
the formula is sons follow the ka and fathers name, and daughters follow the ki and fathers name

He's rather an ineffectual male of the pantiernii line, in his late 40s. Big and heavyset, his muscles have turned to fat. He sports a beard with chest fur and hair which is tied to the back into a thin braid (to be pictured in a cds) scars on his left arm and leg from a hunting accident, although what he was hunting wasn't all too natural....
can be rather cruel, he delights in certain unsavoury things....like throwing girls to beasts (any native centriiost creatures that are dangerous?)

his daughter played upon his obsession and started an affair with him, dressing like her maid who shared similar features. she then blamed his murder upon the servant girl.

the servant girl is a few years older but shares an uncanny resemblance to the daughter who spotted her and immediately took her in. as with all the servant females in Gaar's castle, she was branded with a large gold ring under her nose.
Neridaa would wear a specially crafted nose ring when she visits Gaar at night.

Oooohh! Tricky and twisted and clever and unique! Love the gold ring brand rule!

Just a note: All slaves coming to Centriiost go through its capitol city, Hebath, and receive a brand as a form of ID. Location of each brand varies and a specific ID may not be common, but the brand most often used is the registered authority mark of the purchasing Loord, or that of the Loord(ess/ian) over the purchasing knight or whoever, provided they are registered themselves as serving a Loord(ess/ian) or exercising loyalty ot tribute toward him/her. Those purchased by Emprism Guild officials would receive the service number of that officer. Others receive the brand of purchasing agents who may transport slaves off of Centriiost for resale or delivery, the brand of centrii Chiifs registered in Hebath or the brand of a corperation or other entity which may be purchasing slaves in a cooperative effort to split costs or outbid others. And I am sure I am missing a few other possible senarios that would make perfect sense.

A few slaves might be smuggled onto Centriiost in pods dropped through the atmosphere beyond Hebath, as well as a few smuggled through Hebath. Then there are those slaves born on Centriiost, which may or may not be branded depending on their cercumstances and fate. Branding is a means of legal identification and the Emprism Guild occasionally mediates cases of misplaced and looted slaves, especially between the many bickering Loords. Slaves are not considered free spoils of war by the Emprism Guild; original purchase means ownership until legal arrangements are made to transfer legal right to a slave. Of course, a little private bidding/bribing will win or lose many cases...Slaves are all about the money to the Emprism Guild.

As to native dangerous creatures, there are primarily the sentient, wild Maltrisagons. However, others are certainly possible, though probably nothing really large or terribly threatening. Very likely, just small and deadly things which really don't bother the anthros as a rule.

perhaps its possible to develop something non sentient yet semi large enough like wolves. or we can just do with starved dog-like creatures, they'll do. the loord doesn't strike me as subtle, he likes alot of carnage and showiness.

it sounds like the trafficking of slaves is pretty much regimented. as to the branding- the slavegirls can have the branding of the traffickers along with the more visual branding of the loords who purchase them hence incorporating the nose ring.

feel free to suggest any other characters that needs to be put to paper.

So you have something quick and agile and mammalistic in mind? Anything is possible for a band of artists mixing up their concepts! I actually favor the idea of a specie that is quite small and tenacious and which might be bred in captivity for ritual exocutions. Or the specie you suggest might be an import from offplanet. Regular, carnal exocutions DO seen to be his style.

It is. The Emprism Guild has control of the planet in a legal and enforcement sense and its headquarters are in Hebath, so they have the tightest control and strongest force there, ensuring their reputation does not suffer a blow by some coup.

As I may have mentioned, some slaves are branded with the trafficer's seal and others are not; it depends upon the trafficer and the intended market. E-Guild slave identification policy depends on each individual Loord and they play on each loord's preferences every "penny" they can squeeze out of them. A Loord's brand is manditory from the view of the E-Guild, but it may be waived if the Loord in question will pay a fee. It is your call weither your Loord would be willing to shell out for all his slaves, just the female ones or just certain of the more beautiful/ugly femas. As his daughter found and purchased the lookalike maid, the transaction may have been a private one outside of Hebath just about anywhere; in a centrii village, at a stopover in a desert, with a slave train coming to or going from Hebath.

You specific ones that I have in mind or just general sorts which you might invent?(ie a Guild officer or Loord Ambassidor, a centrii slave hunter, various knights serving various loords, Lurker/Freelurkers, merchants and trademen in Hebath, ship crewers/pilots, ect) Would you like to take a stab at a centrii? I have a good female ref and a male ref concept I can link you to or send you files of.

specific or general your choice. im at ease following descriptions or making my own.
im not comfortable with the centrii though, they;'re abit different to what im used to, perhaps more suited to an artist who can draw more animalistic features.

perhaps you'd like artwork of some minor characters who do not need a cdss, just characters in their uniforms/clothes etc?

Oh. Forgot to mention I love the naming system. I had wanted some heriditary linking via names for the Minaoians in general, though the exactitudes of such will probably vary for each race and may also from bloodline to bloodline.

And Gaar will probably be one of few Minaoians to be cast as a Loords on Centriiost. The Minaoians as a whole have failed to attain to wealth and prestigue since the fall of their Dominion, and those who have are not incline to "the old" ways for fear of being singled out and removed due to their already black heritage. Beyond their home planets, the races of Minao are mostly slaves, free dregs put upon by most other races or disadvantaged citizens who struggle with their past and the loss of their racial identity.

General would be preferable, as I have a lot on my plate right now and I am open to all sorts and types of characters. The sample listing I gave you above is meant as a place to start but I am sure you can imagine that it is by no means extensive.

I guess the centrii would be better for other artists, then.

Oh! That sound fine! How about concentrating on officers and soldiers of hightech races? Any race to model will be fine, and you can concept imagined armies and militia and divisions and such or just leave putting things together to me.

Thank you so much for all your willing help!

thanks, naming characters are fun.

and the history of the minaoians is great. Gaar would bribe and climb his way to being a Loord and probably spurn his heritage as well as exploiting his own people as slaves.

general officers and soldiers it is. i'll have to research army wear and come up with something.

Names are the easy part!

That should work for Gaar great. I hate him already...

That is a bit amusing. I would not dream of doing research. If my imagination fails me, that is where I draw the line and others can take over.

I'll resort to research when I start running out of ideas fueled by the movies I watch and the dA art community in general. I can feed here forever. But I am becoming more aware that research is just plain smart in many cased. I need to check a book on 1800 warships and sailing terms, actually. Armor and weapons would be another...
