It is not nonsense words. And as a photo major you are going to have to take a lot of art history classes in college. I actually think it has helped me like art more, lol.

I think I figured out why I like this picture so much. In art history class, my teacher keeps talking about how art is made up of significant contrast, which is exactly what you have here, the contrast of the brightly colored plants to the dull color of the dirt, the contrast of the vibrant life of the flowers to the dusty, dead looking dirt which doesn't seem like it should be able to support any life at all, never mind all of those flowers. it shows the flowers resilience.
