Description
Another progress shot of the tomahawk for Matthew's cosplay. Painted and weathered the head, and added the stringing.Started engraving the three diamonds and ended up carving myself, then cracked the shits because the timber is really hard
I'm gonna go ahead with the leather grip and feather and come back when I can figure out how to deal with the engraving...One week to go D:

Yeah, I totally wished I had bought one ^^ I think they aren't too dear so I'll probably invest in one. Though, we just got a fine detail engraver tool with our new Dremel 4000, so will have to give that a go and see if it's easier. But yes, great tip about the wood burner

I feel like dremel would be harder for detail engraving, because of the rotation. I used a metal engraver to write my name on a metal camping utensil and it was ridiculously hard. haha

I think you're right. I think with the new dremel it has a low speed setting, but it's the rotation that stuffs me up. Ah well, hopefully I won't need to engrave anything in the near future
