Yay I colored it! Hope you guys like it.I feel like I'm slowly discovering my painting style, but I still have so much to learn. Photoshop just has so much stuff...
Ganondorf and Link belong to Nintendo, not me.

When I play the end of Twilight Princess, I always liked to stand nextΒ Ganondorf and compare thereΒ height. Twilight (Link) is half the height of Ganondorf.

It was always peculiar to me how ridiculously tall Gannon was in comparison to Link in OoT. Especially when you went over to stab him after shooting him with an arrow. It's all "HOLY COW! Lay off the steroids or something" I enjoy the design you added in as an overlay on link, it's rather fancy.

More seriously, I really like the brush motifs in the background and on Link's tunic, and the way the painting elevates the wonderfully loose linework into something with a very dramatic feel.

I agree, Photoshop has so much to figure out! I'm also discovering my painting style, but perhaps my biggest discovery is that I need to get back to working on my traditional drawing skills! My perspective needs work! Looks like you've got that part covered, though. Keep up the good work!

Interesting. They look confrontational, and yet they're not actually attacking each other... puts me in mind of a pair of cats staring at each other, waiting to see what the other one will do first.
The leaf pattern in the top-right looks out of place - it's sharply defined and rather flat, while the rest of the painting is textured and doesn't really have any hard outlines. I'm also not sure about the texture on Link's tunic, but there it's also because it suffers from the usual problem of not following the actual shape of the fabric.

yeah. The fabric was an experiment thing. Ultimately it was kind of... weird... I'll probably remove it later. XD All well... trial and error right?

I like the addition of the patterns on Link's tunic. An interesting difference between the sketch and the colored version is how much more Link appears to be in Ganondorf's shadow in this one-- his features are still lit, but he's on the verge of being swallowed by all that billowing crimson cloak. A very powerful image, but one that reduces the Hero slightly more.
Their dynamic defines the Zelda series for me, and I've felt just a little loss for the games in which G. was absent. When they came face to face in Twilight Princess, there was an electric atmosphere that was very familiar. The game even seemed to imply that this wasn't a new meeting, but a reunion of old enemies. Beautifully conveyed in your art.

oh lol! No! Of course not! I just sometimes draw Link that way a lot... I don't know. I want my men to look very masculine, and sometimes they don't come out looking as young as I want them to be.
