I don't think you should be so hard on Katniss! Think about all she has been through. The things she had to experince and see in the Hunger games. To have people she loved ripped away from her. To have her home destroyed. All at the age of 16/17. I think both you and I would be hiding in closets if we had to go through all that.

Too true. But the stories became less about her and more and more about the horrors of war. To be frank, I don't want to read about a girl that breaks down **the common reaction to all that stuff**. I need a heroine that's strong and defies the odds, and unrealistically comes out in the end better for it.
