I can understand that. I tried drawing some NSFW Danny Phantom fan art in the style of the show, more or less. But it was completely incompatible with my art style and I struggled with it. So I tried again in my own art style and it was way better. Though if I were drawing DBZ fan art, I'd probably still try to incorporate the eye style of the anime.

Well can't sugarcoat every story. I wrote a few stories back in the day as well. One of them had a few guys going to rescue a foreign girl that they were taking care of from a rich prick that kidnapped her because he was obsessed with her. And instead of letting her go when cornered, he decided to stab her in the heart while stating that if he can't have her, no one can. So they killed the bastard by running him through with a pike and then leaving him to die in a burning mansion.
