When ever I play or go in a lot of other photography chats a lot of people don't know how to thumb....I find the one on the bottom easier.... less work for you. If you want to use the top one you have to type :thumb#:

i try to put a :thumb: onto my dev id, but it doesnt show up! what do i do?

You can't do it that way, you have to upload a photo to specifically be your ID.

I use deviantLINK, which is an extension for Firefox users ... but the new Thumb on the side of the description is a wonderful addition and tool.

i use deviantCopyPaste and it works probably just the same... it keeps a log of all my recent deviations automatically and provides me with big thumbs, small thumbs, URLs, and links to all parts of a particular devUsers profile as the flick of a button
