I always draw characters three heads tall! (Except for Faintree)

It's very hard for me to Draw my OC's the way I think they should be. I draw them one way, but I don't feel like I drew them the same way either.
A Reference Sheet never helps honestly.
How do you keep your character's looking so consistently?
Practice and experience is what I'm guessing.

I think a reference sheet does help, but I think what helps most is drawing them a lot, and I mean a lot!
