Obligatory Solus Notes: shoulders appear to have similar properties to Plesioth hips. Different position means no likely effect on lovemaking.

I'm pretty sure you're exaggerating how bad Plesioth is. Still, the point is that Barioth's shoulder checksΒ are a bit wonky (as well as having a weird delay that makes them a pain to iframe)

from what i have seen in old games barrioth looks NUTS but i recon it would be easier with the more open controls

Barioth is one of the ones i had the most fun with. He has some really easy to see tells for when he moves. As long as you don't turn into a snowman, you'll be fine.
for example, when I started MHW, I killed a rathalos with the basic weapon, because I already knew what it was going to do.Β I honestly didn't expect to win, but it was fun trying.. so i gave it a shot and it just never hit me. Also, knowing what to break and having those mushrooms to leap off of to ride it helped a lot. You can deal a lot fo damage with a successful mounting.
